At the request of many, I am finally putting out a bird calendar! This calendar will be the first of its kind, and I have selected my 12 best images to represent the beautiful and diverse bird species found around the Central Coast of California. The Landscape calendar is similar to the annual calendar you've grown to enjoy over the years, featuring a brand new mix of sunset and night sky landscape photographs. Your search for a 2020 California Calendar stops here.
Both calendars are available to order now and all calendar orders ship within 2 business days.
Just like last year's calendar, this edition is more than just a collection of images to me - it's blood, sweat, and tears. It's the culmination of years of late nights shooting for hours on end, dragging my kids (sometimes kicking and screaming!) to chase the sunset, late nights editing, and then snoozing early alarms to go work day-job. With the addition of the bird images, you'll get a glimpse at my lifelong passion for birding.
The journey to this point was never about making a calendar or selling a canvas. It was about experiencing the vastness of nature, capturing images of that, and learning how to do it in my own way. It was about experimenting with techniques, discovering new wonders, and trying to tell that story with a single static image. And sometimes it was/is just about being outside, in the cool air of the Central Coast with the silence of the stars being interrupted only by the crashing of the waves.
Join me on a photographic journey of the Central Coast of California, featuring sweeping sunset scenes and glimpses of the sea under the night sky. If you're looking for a Milky Way calendar, a California Sunset calendar, Landscape calendar, or a Bird calendar - you're in the right place.
This 12 month calendar is individually wrapped, UV coated, and features a saddle-stitched binding. I chose the saddle stitching so that multiple calendars would lay flat and stack nicely inside shipping envelopes. My primary goal for the project design was to simply highlight the images. Since I'm not a graphic designer by trade, I kept the page layout simple and the information at the bottom of each image unobtrusive. Each month's image features a bottom caption area featuring my logo, the image title, and my website address in the event you would like to order a print. Pictured right is a sample image of last year's calendar.
If you have a moment and feel inclined to share this project, I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you for stopping by!
